Pest Extermination is a guide to dealing with mice, rats, bed bugs, wasps, moths, flies and pigeons yourself, safely and without wasting money. It is written for readers in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.
Who writes it
The site is written by The Pest Extermination team, an editorial group with no named individual behind it. We do not claim to have bought, handled or tested the products we describe. What we do is read product labels, manufacturer pages, retailer listings and official guidance, then put the facts side by side so you can compare.
Where the facts come from
- Product labels and safety data published by the brands.
- Retailer listings for typical prices, shown in euros (with pounds when a UK price is quoted).
- Official sources for rules: EUR-Lex for the Biocidal Products Regulation, GOV.UK, legislation.gov.uk and HSE for the UK.
How the site is funded
Some links to shops may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes how a product is ranked. Read the contact page if you spot a mistake.
Safety first
Every guide puts children, pets and the product label ahead of speed. Our editorial page explains how we work.
